Kagege mangoes, the indigenous mangoes, initially grew naturally in the area. We grafted the few germinated seedlings onto young trees already growing. We also cleverly grafted to tree stumps, which amazingly grew with no problems. The first to experiment on were the Tommy mangoes. They are the mangoes best known for their appealing colour. They turn red with plenty sunlight and come close to turning maroon. This colour makes them stand out of the usual green, yellow and oranges colours of the typical mango. They thus sell to potently than any other mango. Amongst the other types of mangoes grown, the Apple Mango is the sweetest mango. Despite it's ugly appearance because its distinctive skin weakness, its sweetness makes it stand out. The Apple mango is a little difficult to grow and it's maximum size is only up to half of the other types of mango, save the legendary Kent. so is a little mo expensive than the rest.
